Montréal Youth Unlimited (MYU) has a vision to see the youth of Quebec transformed through the love of God and effecting positive change in their world. MYU provides custom-tailored community-based programs designed to encourage, empower and equip youth to reach their full potential.
Opportunity
MYU is seeking a full-time Terra Nova Youth Centre Director for our Centre located in the West Island community of Dorval. The centre has a gymnasium, art studio and café. The Director will lead and develop a team of staff and volunteers. The Director will undertake community assessments to understand and evaluate needs in order to develop and implement programs to reach the local community. The Director is responsible for all programming at the centre.
The Director will promote the ministry in the community, developing partnerships with local churches, businesses, and like-minded organizations. This position requires the candidate to raise the necessary funds to cover salary and expenses.A strong team of business and ministry leaders is in place to support the Centre.
Qualifications
- A committed follower of Jesus, with a desire to see young people become lifelong followers of Jesus. Has a degree or specialty in youth work, or a related work experience.
- Demonstrates initiative and has good organizational skills, including verbal and written communication skills.
- Is creative, adventurous, reliable, autonomous as well as having proven leadership abilities. Demonstrates wisdom and discernment.
- Bilingual.
